Hello World – Where Am I Going?

So I’ve just spent the last three days locking in a hotel room with barely any sleep brainstorming the re-branding of my business.  I’m exhausted, my body aches, I forgot to eat several times, and I’m pretty sure I hallucinated at some point, but I think I’ve figured it out. I think I where my business and I are going:

From escort to geisha.

I’ve bee working as a professional escort since Valentine’s Day of this year, and love pretty much everything about it.  I find the human condition fascinating, and getting to know these men who for whatever reason decide to pay for companionship is absolutely riveting.  I know there are some who are shocked that I’m an admitted sex worker companion, but Jesus spent time with harlots, so I don’t give a $#@^ what they think.  I enjoy what I do and am good at it.  But recently a snafu came up when trying to verify that a potential client wasn’t a cop, and he emailed me,

“Seems like a lot to go through to just hang out with someone.”

It got me thinking, aren’t escorts supposed to be like the geisha of old, where compensation is paid to spend time with a woman of distinct abilities and charms who just happen to be very sensual? It go me thinking that the standard screening processes for weeding out law enforcement made us no better than street walkers, where the expectation is placed on sex for money.  One thing you’ll here us escorts say over and over:

Being a escort is perfectly legal because I am compensated for my time and companionship, not sexual services.

But wait!  How can we constantly scream to the world that what we do is legal when we hide so much behind screening so to avoid arrest? Doesn’t that mean we think know we`re breaking the law? I`m in this business because I`m a woman in love with meeting and getting to know various people who also happens to like sex, and you`d probably get lucky if you paid for my “companionship”. But I don`t want to sell sex. But if not sex, what am I selling?  I decided then I wanted to stop walking the line and get away from illegality altogether, but how to do that is what necessitated the 3 day hermit-fest, which culminated in the birth of the idea of the American geisha.  I’m going to run my business as an triple-threat full package:

  • an entertainer and artist
  • a hostess
  • a fantasy date and temporary girlfriend

My sessions are now becoming full-blown sensation encounters, with wine, body work (the amateur’s massage), stress-relieving music, alluring scents, soothing lighting.  I’m working on creating an atmosphere of sanctuary, of escape from everyday life.  A visit with me to be a special treat that a person gives themselves, a mini-vacation where they are pampered, spoiled, and generally adored.  Because when you think about it, if you’re paying my rates, you really should have more to show for it than just sex!

Here we are, at the beginning.  I’m working on a new website, and ready to social market the hell out of this idea. This will be an exciting journey, and I hope you’ll continue reading my story as I train into

♥ Becoming an American Geisha ♥

As someone who studies the Bible as a hobby, I love hearing this. Did you know that there is a Biblically famous harlot in Jesus’ lineage? Her name is Rahab, and because she showed kindness to the Israelites when they were shifting from a nomadic tribe to a conquering tribe, she and all she loved were spared when the Hebrews conquered her city. If you care to read more about it than the bit I’ve left here, you can find it in Joshua 2, the story of the famed battle of Jericho. I recommend reading it at NewLivingTranslation[dot]com just so it isn’t super boring. 🙂 I think you’ll appreciate how Rahab knows what kind of deal to cut with what man. She’s a really good object lesson if you read the story with a focus on her as the main character rather than the intended main characters.

I think that just goes to show how the Divine has a purpose for all of us, and being an empowered sex worker doesn’t mean you aren’t a part of that purpose. Good for you. *hugs* If the Creator sees fit to bless the life you live, who is any human to offer you judgment about it? No one should be so arrogant as to think they know better than God how you should live your life, and as you expressed, it’s not their business in the first place. The people who mind don’t matter, and the people who matter don’t mind.

    > “Doesn’t that mean we know we’re breaking the law?”

I don’t think so. I think it means you recognize that life isn’t as black-and-white as the law wants it to be, and I also think it means you know the law doesn’t exactly account for your specific situation.

Anti-trafficking laws were created with the intent to keep people (typically woman and children) from the exploitation of pimps and abusers. Unfortunately, the law creates a significant roadblock for those who neither need nor want that protection, and that means those who are free and empowered have to work around that roadblock. I don’t think there’s anything morally askew about that at all.

God bless you, and good luck to you on your journey. Thank you for adding me on G+ and sharing your life with me. I look forward to reading more of you and your path. 🙂
